Susan White’s life was a mess: twice divorced, addicted to alcohol and pills, and her seventeen-year-old son was running wild. When she was asked by friends or relatives if they could help, she would decline, saying “Mac is looking out for me.” Mac was Kent McGowen. He was a deputy in the sheriff’s department whose job it was to keep peace in the neighborhood.
Kent had his own problems, the biggest one being his proclivity to lie. About most anything. He was attempting to serve a warrant on Susan White, when she was shot and killed. Join us at the quiet end as we unravel this mystery.
