In 1965, on a mild winter evening, 15-year-old Patty Desmond left her house without telling anyone where she was going. She did have some history of running away, and that, along with a recent argument with her mother, gave people the false belief that she would return on her own in a few days. But that night was the last time Patty’s family saw her.

As he was the last person known to have seen her alive, he became a suspect in her disappearance. But proving that he was involved seemed impossible. Patty’s case would go cold.
