Accepting a surgical anesthetic illegally from a nurse does sound irresponsible and irrational, but the level of pain during a migraine is so unbearable it causes irrational thoughts including what a relief it would surely be to die. Punching your head as hard as you can doesn’t even have any effect. Bless her – she was an easy mark for a maniac by just grasping for some relief. My gratitude is renewed that newer migraine prescriptions help mine. May I never take that for granted.
