Arthur Shawcross was a weird kid, even when he was little. He was immature, talked in a funny way, and was socially inept. He was also a bully, picking on younger children. He started seeing a psychologist at the young age seven, but his behaviors did not improve.

After growing up and serving in the army, Shawcross returned to the upstate New York area, where he was arrested for arson and burglary. After serving 22 months of a five-year sentence, he was released on parole.

Shawcross returned to his hometown of Watertown and, in May of 1972, murdered ten-year-old Jack Blake. That September, he raped and murdered eight-year-old Karen Hill. He pleaded guilty, but was paroled after just fourteen years.

Shawcross and his girlfriend moved to Rochester and in 1988 he began murdering again. In not quite two years, he murdered eleven women. Join us at the quiet end as we discuss the horrific crimes of Arthur Shawcross, a man with no conscience who actually seemed proud of his brutal acts.
