Katy Hawelka had just returned for her sophomore year at Clarkson University when she he went out for some drinks with friends. On her return to campus in the wee hours of the morning, she was attacked, beaten, raped, and left for dead. Katy was in the hospital for several days before the heart-wrenching decision was made to take her off of life support.
