Hann and Bich Ha Pan had high expectations for their daughter Jennifer. She lived a sheltered life filled with piano lessons, figure-skating competitions, and several hours of studying each day. This type of parenting is commonly called “tiger parenting.” But as Jennifer approached adulthood, she began a life of deceit. Forging report cards and college acceptance letters, Jennifer went to great lengths to avoid disappointing her parents and maintain a forbidden relationship.
After a home invasion that took the life of Bich Pann and severely injured Hann Pan, Jennifer’s lies and deception would be revealed, shocking the community as well as those who thought they knew her.
In this episode, we speak with Jeremy Grimaldi, author of the new book “A Daughter’s Deadly Deception” and a journalist who sat through Jennifer’s sensational trial. The facts in this case are shocking and Jeremy’s insight was fascinating.

(P.S. Dick, Uinta is pronounced “you-INN-tah”; just insert the “inn” syllable between the U and the tah in “Utah.” Another tough one here is Tooele, “too-ill-ah”.)
Hey, it’s already fixed! Thank you, (I suspect) Jill!
I’ve clicked on the title “A Husband’s Rage; the murder of Rachel O’Reilly,” and when I click the play button, Susan Smith’s case begins. This happened on another older episode that I’d hoped to listen to.
Perhaps when you have time you could check it out and make sure the older titles are matched up with the correct content? I’d appreciate it, now that I’m finally a TIE-GRABBER, I want to watch every episode I’ve missed!
Yes, thank you for letting me know, April! My best, Jill
