Imperial IPA 8.5% ABV
Pretty gold color with a faint haze. Small white head but a good amount of lace.
Melon and citrus aroma. Some sweet malt.
Lots of melon in the taste. Oranges. Caramel.
The sweetness just clobbers you. I think too much, but it does calm down a little.
Phineas De Mink and Skip Yahn founded this western New York state brewery in 2002. In 2009 they enlarged their operation significantly.
