Investigation Discovery’s series “A Crime to Remember” has started it’s fifth season with a true story from 1959 that has fascinated the public for more than half a century. Truman Capote wrote a groundbreaking work of what he called “a true crime novel” after immersing himself in this case of the murders of the Clutter family in Holcomb, Kansas. Detectives mounted a nationwide search, finding two men who may have slaughtered the family for no reason. Capote’s book “In Cold Blood” brought to light deep-seated questions of crime, punishment, and the nature of human beings. It’s a great case for episode one of the new season!
