Loretta Jones was stabbed seventeen times, sexually assaulted, and left to die on her living room floor. It was July 30, 1970. There were no signs of forced entry. No screams were heard in the night. And the only witness was Loretta’s little girl, Heidi, peering through a keyhole in her bedroom door.
